Two slopes of hills make up the whole compound of Caleruega church. The famous Transfiguration chapel is perched on top of the first hill. The main reception hall, which is great for wedding receptions and big-group events are located there along with the comfortable rooms for visitors who want to make an overnight stay. Separate dorms for male and female tenants are also located in this area. The main garden, lettuce farm and worm farms can also be found at the first slope. There is also an open ground surrounded by trees where people can sit under the shades and reminisce about their blessings.

The second hill nestles a second chapel, also called by visitors as the Open Chapel, because of its structure. The chapel is literally open with only three stained glasses and several aslant stone pillars. There is also a vast green field at the second slope which is great place for meditation and relaxation.

Aside from the wonderful features of the scenery, the Spanish-style Transfiguration chapel also makes the venue more complaisant. Devotees who are inclined in praying for long periods of time are more encouraged to stay longer inside the chapel and have more peaceful time for prayers because of the tranquil feeling the structural design stimulates.

Magnificent receptions halls such as Veritas Hall, Catalina Hall, Tomasino Hall, Tuktok Hall and Gazekubo are great venues for wedding receptions, liturgy workshops and group activities. There is also a roof deck called Plaza de Aza that accommodates celebrations and events. Leadership seminars, skills trainings and art and music workshops are only a few examples of group activities that are mostly held in the said reception halls.

There are also hermitage cottages in Caleruega church that individuals who want to retreat can stay at. The two cottages named Pahingalayan and Fra Angelico have complete home facilities so one who wants a more profound recollection can stay longer. There are also meals and snack available upon a guest’s stay.

Occupancy cottages are also available for individuals, families and groups of friends who want a longer vacation. Spending a night or two at the cottages is not a problem for groups of people because the cabins are equipped with multiple beds. Meals and snacks are also available so guests can savor the beauty of the whole place without being bothered by cooking or by looking for stores to find food.

Kampo Arriba is also a perfect place for more adventurous people who want to spend the night at Caleruega church. It is a camping site where visitors who want to sleep amidst the breathtaking surroundings can settle. They just have to bring their own tents and food.

With these facilities and amenities that accommodate various activities and celebrations, Caleruega is not just a place for sacred occasions. It is also a place for invigorating and inspiring vacation.

Located in Nasugbu, Batangas, Caleruega church is just an hour and a half drive from Manila. With its accessibility, people who want to behold the awe-inspiring scenery can easily go there and experience a different kind of holiday.
